The 2021 Louisiana Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists have been released, and we are proud to announce that 6 of our attorneys were among those selected!

FormanWatkins Partner, Mary Clift Abdalla, has been selected as one of Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 50 Under 40 for 2020. As the name suggests, Top 50 Under 40 recognizes the state’s 50 up-and-coming business leaders under the age of 40. Considered one of the state’s most prestigious awards, the award highlights individuals who have made significant contributions to Mississippi’s overall economic progress. All of the Top 50 Under 40 recipients have involvement that go beyond normal working hours. Their days are extended by a large number of civic and community activities.

FormanWatkins Partner, Mary Clift Abdalla, has been selected to the Friends of Children’s Hospital Board of Directors! Friends of Children’s Hospital is a nonprofit organization created to benefit the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The board of directors works together to promote fundraising events and reach new donors, to help meet the extraordinary needs of caring for Mississippi’s sick and injured children. Contributions have purchased state-of-the-art equipment, built facilities, and provided services for all pediatric patients.

Molly McNair enjoys being a lawyer because it is a job that makes her a life-long learner. FormanWatkins is proud to announce Julian Miller has been awarded a Common Future Bridge Fellowship based on his work co-founding the non-profit organization, Delta Fresh Foods Initiative, that focuses on building community food systems as a means of economic justice and public health in the Mississippi Delta.

Forman Watkins & Krutz LLP has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2020 honor by The Times-Picayune and The New Orleans Advocate.  The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party anonymous survey that uniquely measures 15 drivers of engaged cultures that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution, and connection.

On February 27, FormanWatkins hosted a special luncheon at the Capital Club in Jackson to recognize these employees. The honorees were treated to a delectable buffet followed by a game that was enjoyed by all. Speeches recognizing their accomplishments were given by the Firm’s COO, Robby Gathings, and HR Director, Mandi Murphy.
