McFarland Named as New Member of 100 Black Men of Jackson

FormanWatkins is proud to announce that Vernon McFarland has been named a new member of 100 Black Men of Jackson!  100 Black Men of Jackson serves as a beacon of leadership by utilizing its diverse talents to create environments where youth are motivated to achieve and citizens are empowered to become self-sufficient shareholders in the economic and social fabric of their communities.  The organization's mission is to improve the quality of life within its communities and enhance educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans.  The members of 100 Black Men of Jackson give their time to provide mentoring services across a lifetime to people of African descent to achieve education excellence, health and wellness, economic empowerment, and leadership development.

Vernon has been with the Firm since 2010.  He is licensed in Mississippi and Montana.  Vernon received his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law and is a member of the Mississippi Bar and the Magnolia Bar Association.  He is a Mid-South Super Lawyer Rising Star and member of the Leadership Greater Jackson Class of 2016-2017.  Vernon’s primary practice areas are Toxic Tort Litigation, Commercial Litigation, and Professional Liability.  He is also a member of the Firm’s Pro Bono and Recruiting Committees and serves the community through his church and other charitable organizations.
