FW Sports Management Signs Former Ole Miss Linebacker, Deterrian Shackelford
FW Sports Management is excited to welcome Deterrian Shackelford, former Ole Miss Linebacker, as a client of the firm's Sports Representation practice group. As the first-ever two-time winner of the Chucky Mullins Courage Award, Shackelford proved to be the heart-and-soul of an Ole Miss defense that ranked #1 in the country in scoring defense, propelling the Rebels to a national top-10 ranking for much of the season. Playing linebacker and defensive end, Shackelford amassed 177 tackles, including 23.5 tackles for loss and 9 sacks during his career. Off the field, Shackelford was nationally recognized for his contributions to the community, being awarded the prestigious Danny Wuerffel Trophy and also being named Captain of the 2014 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
Forman Watkins' Peyton Smith, an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, will represent Shackelford in contract negotiations with NFL franchises and with potential marketing and endorsement partners. Shackelford's representation is part of the firm's larger Sports Representation practice group led by Smith specializing in working with collegiate and professional athletes and coaches along with other sports-industry stakeholders.
