Julian Miller Honored with Pro Bono Service Award by Capital Area Bar Association

The Capital Area Bar Association (CABA) recently held their annual Evening Honoring the Judiciary at the Country Club of Jackson. The dinner not only hosts a keynote speaker but also serves as an opportunity for CABA and Jackson Young Lawyers (JYL) to present their annual awards for outstanding service, pro bono and professionalism.  FormanWatkins is extremely proud to have one of its very own presented with the 2020 JYL Pro Bono Service Award, congratulations to Julian Miller for this well-deserved recognition!

As the lead attorney for MC Law’s Education Law & Policy Clinic, Julian coordinates FormanWatkins attorneys and a team of student attorneys in advocating on behalf of clients across the state in matters ranging from individual cases to policy advocacy work. In its first year of partnership, FormanWatkins attorneys worked over 500 pro bono hours on clinic matters on behalf of 14 clients, and look forward to many more productive years to come. Julian was recently awarded the FormanWatkins Pro Bono Star award for providing over 365 pro bono hours during 2020, further reinforcing the Firm’s continued commitment to serving members of our communities with legal services when they need it the most.

Past Pro Bono Service Award recipients include Spencer Ritchie (2014) and Vernon McFarland (2017).
