Krutz and Mulholland Win Summary Judgment in Legal Malpractice Case

Forman Watkins & Krutz represented a Mississippi law firm in a legal malpractice case filed by one of its former clients. Our firm filed summary judgment motions on four issues:

(1)       Plaintiff’s legal expert;

(2)       Plaintiff’s failure to prove defendants’ alleged negligence caused-in-fact any damages to him;

(3)       Plaintiff’s failure to prove that he has been damaged, or the amount of any such damages; and

(4)       Plaintiff’s claims are barred by the statute of limitations.

After the motions had been fully briefed and argued at the hearing, Judge Barry Ford granted all of defendants’ summary judgment motions and dismissed all of plaintiff’s claims with prejudice on August 14, 2018.
