McGuffey Named Member of JPS Bond Oversight Committee
FormanWatkins is proud to announce that Mitch McGuffey has been named a member of the JPS School Board's Bond Oversight Committee! The committee's purpose is to track the progress toward JPS construction of projects and the expenditure of funds associated with the $65 million school bond. The committee will meet regularly with the JPS School Board to provide feedback and raise any concerns on the status of construction and use of the bond funds. Mitch is a proud JPS parent with two girls attending McWillie Elementary School in Jackson. He began his career in New York and moved back to Mississippi, joining the Firm in 2014. He is licensed in Mississippi and New York. Mitch attended law school at the University of Virginia and attended Auburn University for undergraduate studies, where he holds degrees in graphic design and business administration. His practice focuses on Toxic Tort Litigation, including Environmental and Products Liability cases, NCAA Compliance proceedings, and Appellate Litigation. Mitch is also a member of the Firm’s Pro Bono Committee and Recruiting Committee.
