Wilson and Ritchie Speak at Mini Law School for Human Resource Professionals
Malissa Wilson and Spencer Ritchie were speakers at the Mini Law School for HR Professionals seminar, held July 31, 2019, in Pearl, Mississippi. The basic level seminar examined the current issues in human resource law for attorneys, human resources and financial professionals, and other business executives. Wilson and Ritchie spoke about employee handbooks and policies; workplace behavior and privacy; disciplining and discharging employees; and employment laws, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), Older Workers’ Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA), Age Discrimination and Employment Act (ADEA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and Sexual Harassment, Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA), and Uniformed Services Employment Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).
