Nick Giallourakis, Joshua Metcalf and Daniel Roberts, along with Delaware local counsel, successfully petitioned the Delaware Supreme Court to accept an interlocutory appeal on the issue of whether a company that registers to do business in Delaware but has almost no other contact with the state is subject to general personal jurisdiction there.

Joshua J. Metcalf and Nick Giallourakis of Forman Watkins & Krutz persuaded the trial judge to grant a new trial based on attorney misconduct in an Oregon wrongful death action arising from decedent’s alleged exposure to asbestos.

On August 3, 2015, The United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, in its unanimous opinion, affirmed summary judgment for Forman Watkins & Krutz LLP clients Precision Packaging and Clemco Industries in Robinson v. Mine Safety Appliances Co. et al., a silica case filed in the Eastern District of Arkansas.

Krutz & Mulholland represented Google Inc. in an action under 28 U.S.C. § 1983 against the Mississippi Attorney General in Mississippi federal court. Google claimed that the Attorney General had violated Google’s rights under the First Amendment, the Communications Decency Act, and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Forman Watkins recently won two significant summary judgments for its client Moldex-Metric, Inc. in Ruby Jean Mealer, et al. v. Moldex-Metric, Inc. and R. C. Harris v. Moldex-Metric, Inc. Both of those cases are on the docket in the Circuit Court of Jones County, Laurel, Mississippi.
